Recovering the QPList Past

AND Present

Once upon a time, The Quaker Parakeet Discussion List was created by Shelly Lane. The QPList started with a handful of people and some of those people were the guiding force behind the creation of QPS, the Quaker Parakeet Society, which accepted ownership and maintenance of the List several years ago.

The QPList grew, changed locations several times to accommodate that growth, and members came and went. Many of the original QPList members remain members to this day.

At one location, the QPList hosted a section called QPList Bios; photos of members at that time, and their Quakers. QPS would like to share some of those photos with you again.

But, to keep things interesting, there's a catch...you have to figure out who, whether Quaker or member, is in the photo! We're not going to tell you who it is until the correct answer is posted on the QPList! Each week, a new photo will be posted, (along with the previous week's photo), until we run out of photos.

And...there's a couple of rules...you must be:

  • a QPList member to participate.
  • QPList Moderators and Administration and the QPS Board of Directors and Committee Chair Persons cannot participate unless no QPList members can answer.
  • If it's you, or you and your bird, or just your bird in the photo, you can't answer either!
