QPS is a 501(c), non profit organization. Its primary goal is to educate the public about Quaker Parakeets in the home and in the wild. Access to avian educaton promotes healthier and longer relationships between owners and birds. QPS meets its educational goals and makes Quaker education available to its members and the public through the various programs that make up the organization. QPS relies on membership dues, donations, and Quaker inspired product sales to maintain the various programs, including those which offer free services, such as QPSRAPP, (QPS' Rescue &Placement Program), the Quaker Parakeet Discussion List, (QPList), and the Education & Research Committee, (QPSERC).
